At the end of the 21st century, Earth is devastated by Colony citizen Douglas Quaid has been having dreams of being a secret agent, aided by an unnamed woman.

Though the film bears only a passing resemblance to the Philip K. Dick short story it was based on ("We Can Remember It For You Wholesale"), the movie is an entertaining, if very violent, ride. Menu.

Cohaagen orders Hauser's memories to be reimplanted in Quaid and Melina to be re-programmed as Hauser's obedient "babe", but Quaid and Melina escape into the mines where the reactor is located. Quaid reacts instinctively, killing the entire squad. Hauser defected, but was recaptured by the UFB and implanted with Quaid and Melina find Matthias.
