It’s loud and busy at night with a great atmosphere . Le stationnement privé sur place est gratuit. Theres the usual drug dealer as with every strip I've been to. You'll head out to sea, looking for dolphins and other marine life. thanks jayjan. I had in fact spotted it in the meantime. You do get some low lifes trying to sell it, ignore them, carry on walking, a lot of it is fake & thats why the police can't do anything about it. Bars, restaurant, clubs etc? Catering mainly to Irish/English tourists, the Montechoro strip is bustling with bars, restaurants, coffee shops, designer boutiques and wine shops.
You’ll pass by beautiful coastal formations, see the Alfanzina Lighthouse, and learn about the area from your captain and an on-board marine biologist. (that's me aged 16 on the LHS). There’s a smaller narrower strip at the top of the hill with a few eating places. The bars are all lovelyThis is not the area a couple or a solo person would go for a pleasant evening. Albufeira is able to cater for the two extremes of tourists (families and party holidays) as there are two very separate areas of the town; the Old Town and The Strip (New Town).
